A-1 Erosion Control, LLC guarantees germination on the projects we hydro-mulch, except for any unusual acts of nature. Unusual acts of nature are defined as hurricanes, floods, fire, excessive rain amounts with wash-out capabilities, and drought. We do not guarantee sites experiencing pest infestation or where the soil is chemically contaminated. Review your quote for any specific warranty/guarantee details.
The following circumstances disturb the hydro mulched area and prevent proper germination: installation of telephone lines, power lines, cables, poles, trees, shrubs, fencing, standing water, uneven site grades, or any re-grading of areas. When situations such as these occur on a project after the hydro-mulch seeding is applied, we are not obligated to reseed those certain areas.
For better germination, hydro-mulched areas should be watered twice daily for twenty to thirty minutes. Because it takes approximately 14,000 gallons (1/2 inch on surface) of water per acre to water properly, it would not be cost effective to water large acreage sites. The seed will not die, but will lie dormant in the mulch until natural germination conditions occur.
For sites that are not watered, depending on the natural rainfall, we have a sixty (60) day waiting period before reseeding, to allow nature to take its course. We will re-seed any areas that do not germinate, provided the area has received adequate water for germination.
Warranty is good from one year from the date of spraying the hydro mulch and in force when all obligations (ie. watering and any other agreed considerations) from the customer have been met.
